Elections are the foundation of our democracy, and I am committed to serving voters with integrity and transparency.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>DiCaprio will be inheriting an office that has recently been enmeshed in controversy, including high staff turnover, allegations of a hostile work environment, and a series of election administration-related problems \u2014 most notably leaving approximately 75,000 independent and unaffiliated voters off the poll books during the November 2025 local election. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Everyone who wanted to vote was able to do so, the county said, with12,000 voters casting provisional ballots.Butthe episode bruised residents\u2019 trust in the county\u2019s voting security, exemplified at a public meeting in February.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>An independent law firm investigation ultimately found that human error and poor oversight led to the incident, but it did not call for the resignation of personnel, including Karen Barsoum, then the voter services director. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1162\">Sixers are all over \u2014 from top 10 to bottom half of the league \u2014 in way-too-early NBA power rankings roundup<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Barsoum announced her resignation in March and her last day was June 12. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Chester County Administrator Erik Walschburger and Deputy Administrator Megan Moser said in the news release that DiCaprio\u2019s experience as a foreign service officer makes her a strong fit for the role.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>DiCaprio spent five years with USAID in Mozambique leading the Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance team working on elections, counterterrorism, and other issues, according to her LinkedIn page.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs a foreign service officer, Michele has spent her career leading complex international operations in fast-paced environments while ensuring federal compliance,\u201d Walschburger said. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThrough her years of work on election operations and counterterrorism program evaluation, she has established a strong track record of developing high-performing teams, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and managing critical public-facing services,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1160\">Flyers draft: Jaxon Cover and Ryder Cali grew up playing roller hockey in the Cayman Islands.
