{"id":1575,"date":"2026-06-25T23:17:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T23:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1575"},"modified":"2026-06-25T23:17:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T23:17:00","slug":"supporters-of-curacao-and-ivory-coast-cheered-on-their-teams-at-fifa-fan-festival-its-a-good-vibe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1575","title":{"rendered":"Supporters of Cura\u00e7ao and Ivory Coast cheered on their teams at FIFA Fan Festival: \u2018It\u2019s a good vibe\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><div><div><audio><\/audio><\/div><\/div><p>While supporters of Cura\u00e7ao and Ivory Coast were at Philadelphia Stadium (known locally as Lincoln Financial Field) for their match, fans of all allegiances watched from the lawns of Lemon Hill Park at the FIFA Fan Festival.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1573\">Unionized doctors at ChristianaCare finalize new contract<\/a><\/p><div><\/div><p>Both matches in the 4 p.m. window, Ivory Coast-Cura\u00e7ao and Germany-Ecuador, drew crowds of people at the Fan Fest in the final group stage matches of Group E.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Ecuadorian fans watched on the festival\u2019s secondary screen as their team overcame a Rocky-cursed start to the group stage and advanced to the knockout rounds with a 2-1 win over Germany.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Ivory Coast supporters watched their team secure its first trip to the knockout rounds at a FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win over Cura\u00e7ao.<\/p><div><\/div><p>Some fans at the festival planned to stick it out through to the U.S. match against Turkey at 10 p.m., while others were there to take in the festival\u2019s environment briefly.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><article><button><svg><\/svg><\/button><button><svg><\/svg><\/button><div><\/div><\/article><\/div><div><\/div><div><h3>Ivory Coast to Chestnut Hill<\/h3><\/div><div><\/div><p>Fans of <i>Les \u00c9l\u00e9phants<\/i> came from near and far to watch their team in Philly on Thursday.<\/p><div><\/div><p>Duski Kamagate was born in Abobo, a suburb of Abidjan, Ivory Coast\u2019s largest city. He came to the U.S. to attend Chestnut Hill College and play on its soccer team. <\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Kamagate, sporting an orange Ivory Coast kit, attended Thursday\u2019s Fan Festival with a few of his teammates from Chestnut Hill.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>\u201cI think it\u2019s a great experience, being able to come watch the game, vibe and have fun,\u201d Kamagate said. \u201cI think it\u2019s a good vibe.\u201d<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>With Ivory Coast up 1-0 at halftime, Kamagate said he was not nervous about the country\u2019s chances of making it to the round of 32.<\/p><div><\/div><p>\u201cWe don\u2019t get nervous,\u201d Kamagate said. \u201cWe\u2019re used to pressure.\u201d<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Victor Tarchala attended the Fan Festival in the same orange Ivorian kit that Kamagate wore, but with far less connection to the country.<\/p><div><\/div><p>Tarchala entered the FIFA ticket lottery for the games at the Linc three times, and was selected in September. He purchased tickets to every match in Philadelphia and has hosted his family from across the country in his apartment in King of Prussia.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Tarchala attended the Brazil-Haiti and France-Iraq matches in Philly, and will attend Croatia-Ghana on Saturday, but gave up his seat to serve as the designated driver for a group of friends on Thursday.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Tarchala said it was an even split within his friend group for which nation to cheer on.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=1571\">A West Philly teen was sentenced to up to 40 months in prison for seeking to make bombs in support of a terror group<\/a><\/p><div><\/div><p>\u201cIt\u2019s literally divided, between me and my friends, half and half,\u201d Tarchala said. \u201cThe other half really want Cura\u00e7ao [to win]. We came to this one because the shirt was available.\u201d<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Jerry Hill brought an unexpected accessory with him to the Fan Festival. <\/p><div><\/div><p>The English fan traveled to America to take in the World Cup alongside his wife, Pauline. Hill brought a customized English flag paying tribute to Aidan Morris, an American midfielder playing for Middlesbrough, Hill\u2019s hometown team.<\/p><div><\/div><p>Hill said the flag is one of many custom flags he\u2019s made to support Middlesbrough, but since Morris is an American player, Hill wanted to bring it on his journey through the States.<\/p><div><\/div><p>\u201cWithin four games, I thought, \u2018This kid\u2019s special,\u201d Hill said.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>Hill proudly displayed his flag, signed by Morris himself, in front of the main stage on Thursday while wearing a bright red Middlesbrough Hawaiian shirt. <\/p><div><\/div><p>While England did not have a game Thursday, Hill said he wanted to get a feel for the festival\u2019s environment. Hill plans to take in England\u2019s final game of the group stage from the New York New Jersey Fan Festival at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday.<\/p><div><\/div><p>The couple started their American journey in Florida for England\u2019s friendlies, then traveled through Atlanta and Nashville before making a long haul drive to Philadelphia.<\/p><div><\/div><p>After they finished watching Ivory Coast-Curacao, the couple planned to go compare a few cheesesteaks at Pat\u2019s and Geno\u2019s.<\/p><div><\/div><div><\/div><p>\u201cMy wife will get one, I\u2019ll get one of the other,\u201d Hill said. \u201cWe\u2019ll split it in half and see which one\u2019s better.\u201d<\/p><div><\/div><p>Hill does not have tickets to a World Cup match, but he did attend England games in the U.S. when it hosted the World Cup in 1994. He was impressed with how the American game has grown since.<\/p><div><\/div><p>\u201cIt was completely different, soccer wasn\u2019t big here then,\u201d Hill said. \u201cWe were trying to bring our atmosphere to get the fans behind the team \u2026 On the whole, [it\u2019s] completely different now.
