\ud83c\udfe1 A step toward affordable housing<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

With the recent approval of four new redevelopment projects, Medford<\/b> is on track to get 226 affordable housing units among the roughly 1,067 total new residential units set to come. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The projects are part of the township\u2019s effort to meet state-mandated affordable housing requirements. The state is requiring Medford to build 240 affordable units by 2035. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

In response to concerns about overbuilding, officials maintain they are abiding by state law and timeline. \u201cMedford has a history of not building residential unless it\u2019s required by the state,\u201d Mayor Mike Czyzyk said. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Now, with these newly approved projects, construction may come. But first, the plans have to go before a judge. <\/p>\n

The EMR scrapyard will reopen<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Camden<\/b> Superior Court Judge Stephen J. Polansky ruled that EMR can restart its operations.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The decision was up to the judge after the Camden City Council voted unanimously Tuesday against a settlement that would have allowed the scrapyard to reopen under a set of safety rules. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

The legal fight stems from EMR suing Camden for suspending its license in June after its 13th fire in six years. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The judge\u2019s terms require EMR to conduct around-the-clock fire watches along with fire-suppression testing, and to develop procedures for scanning materials that arrive at the facility and responding to fires. <\/p>\n

    Molly Tea, the growing Chinese tea chain, will open at its first South Jersey location in Cherry Hill<\/b>, according to South Jersey Food Scene. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Two Sweet Boutique, a family-owned bakery, had its soft opening at its new location in Sewell<\/b> on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
