{"id":2302,"date":"2026-07-09T19:45:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T19:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=2302"},"modified":"2026-07-09T19:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T19:45:11","slug":"in-its-second-season-hbos-task-will-see-a-crossover-with-mare-of-easttown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=2302","title":{"rendered":"In its second season, HBO\u2019s \u2018Task\u2019 will see a crossover with \u2018Mare of Easttown\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div><audio><\/audio><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Big news for Philly TV fans: A crossover of <i>Task<\/i> and <i>Mare of Easttown<\/i> is in the works. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=2300\">Colwyn couple starved and neglected a woman with Down syndrome who was in their care, DA says<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><i>Task<\/i>, the crime thriller starring Mark Ruffalo that just received six Emmy nominations for its debut season this week, has cast Julianne Nicholson to reprise her <i>Mare of Easttown<\/i> role as Lori Ross, Variety reported on Thursday. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Playing the best friend to Kate Winslet\u2019s titular Mare Sheehan character, Nicholson won an Emmy in 2021 for her heartwrenching performance as the mother of (spoiler alert!) the young boy revealed as the killer Sheehan was investigating.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>More details about how her character will factor into <i>Task<\/i> are under wraps. But we know that the new season follows Ruffalo\u2019s ex-priest-turned-FBI agent \u2014 a performance that earned him an Emmy nod \u2014 as he leads another task force that will clash with the DEA.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>It\u2019s the first time that the worlds of <i>Task<\/i> and <i>Mare<\/i> have officially collided, though both shows were created by Berwyn writer Brad Ingelsby and filmed in the Philadelphia area. There\u2019s also some overlap in their creative teams, from production and costume design to dialect coaching. (Ingelsby recognizes the importance of getting the signature Delco accent just right.) <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=2298\">Future of Centre Square is uncertain again as rival developers question purchase<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>That connection, Ingelsby told The Inquirer last year, was intentional.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe weren\u2019t trying to separate <i>Task<\/i> from <i>Mare<\/i>. In fact, we were actually going the other way and saying, \u2018No, it\u2019s OK to use the same streets,\u2019\u201d said Ingelsby, who received an Emmy nomination recognizing his writing for the <i>Task<\/i> finale. \u201cIf there\u2019s something architecturally that can connect the two worlds, let\u2019s wrap our arms around it.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><i>Mare<\/i> was initially developed as a limited series, but talk of a potential second season has persisted in the years since its release.
