How she bought this house in Haddonfield<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Amanda Caroccio, a child and adolescent psychiatric nurse practitioner, was living in a Haddon Township<\/b> apartment when she decided she wanted to buy a home for herself and her daughter, Giuliana. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

In September 2024, she began to work overtime to build additional savings and slashed her spending except for special occasions. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

By February 2025, she started searching in Haddon Township<\/b> and Haddonfield<\/b> to get ahead of the spring competition. In mid-March, she found the house she ended up buying on Zillow. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u201cIt was my version of hitting the lottery,\u201d said Caroccio, \u201cbecause it had every single thing on my checklist: updated, small, close to downtown, within walking distance of schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

What we know about Freedom Fuel stations<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

For about a week, there has been 25 gas stations with Freedom Fuel Network signs in the greater Philly region selling gas that is 40 to 50 cents cheaper compared to nearby stations. <\/p>\n

Marlton<\/b> and West Berlin<\/b> are among the listed South Jersey locations. <\/p>\n

There are several questions surrounding these stations, including how they can offer such low prices. But here\u2019s the latest of what we do know: <\/p>\n

    Thousands of people crossed the Ben Franklin Bridge on Saturday to celebrate its 100th anniversary. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Speaking of the Ben Franklin Bridge, it costs $6 to cross from Camden into Philadelphia. Before it opened a century ago, Pennsylvania officials advocated for it to be free while New Jersey was adamant about charging tolls. <\/p>\n

    According to 70and73, Virtua Health named Dr. Nicole Lamborne, an expert in women\u2019s and children\u2019s health, as its new president of its hospitals in Voorhees<\/b> and Marlton<\/b>. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The work to repave a section of South Avenue in Mount Holly<\/b> is set to begin today. The project for the 0.7-mile portion of the road is expected to take two weeks to finish. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Although New Jersey was among the states to not attend Trump\u2019s Great American State Fair, one of its exhibits won the Best in Show award, NJ.com reports. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    The below \u201cSouth Jersey view\u201d came from reader Ed Rivkin, who shared a few memories of the <\/i>Ben Franklin Bridge on its 100th birthday<\/i>:<\/i><\/p>\n

    I\u2019ve never walked across the bridge but have bicycled it hundreds of times. I used to commute into Center City in the 2000s. My commute bicycle was a \u201870s vintage Motobecane 10-speed. During my first ride home in the rain, I discovered that my brakes were totally ineffective. The bicycle had steel rims and when wet, they were almost useless. It was a little harrowing. I bought a set of aluminum wheels the next week. The bike was donated to the Collingswood<\/b> Bike Share program a few years ago.<\/p>\n

      My only challenge cycling across was in 2008 after our Phillies won in the World Series and masses of people were walking across the bridge to the victory parade. I had a bell on my bike and used it a lot that day crossing the bridge. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      I encountered Carlos Ruiz once as he was jogging across in the morning on my way to work. The Phillies lost the previous night. He didn\u2019t look very happy. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      One morning, the air temperature was in the low 20s and I rode into the city facing 20 miles per hour headwind. It took me about 20-30 minutes to defrost. I never rode below 25 degrees again. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
