The driver then fled the scene. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=369\">SEPTA to reopen concourse that connects BSL and MFL after six years of annoying commutes<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>The Philadelphia Police Department is looking for a suspect in the hit-and-run that occurred around 11 p.m. at Broad Street and Oregon Avenue. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that witnesses and surveillance cameras saw the 72-year-old woman get hit by a vehicle as she headed southbound across Oregon Avenue. Police believe the driver was traveling at high speed when they ignored the red light.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cIt struck her with such force that she was knocked out of her sneakers and she was launched westbound approximately 100 feet,\u201d Small said.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>First responders found the woman lying in the street on Oregon Avenue, suffering injuries to her face, head, and body, according to police.
