He\u2019s graduate of Olney High who worked as a first and fifth grade teacher and principal before becoming an assistant superintendent.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>He will lead the Vineland School District in Cumberland County, N.J., a system of 16 schools serving about 11,000 students.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Cedric Holmes, Vineland\u2019s school board president, trumpeted Lajara\u2019s \u201cbrilliant career spanning decades\u201d in a statement and said the system raised standards with its search, which followed Alfonso Q. Llano\u2019s departure this winter to become Camden\u2019s superintendent. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cIn Dr. Lajara, we have secured an innovative turnaround architect with a proven record of driving instructional excellence, deep community engagement, and sophisticated fiscal management,\u201d Holmes said. \u201cHe is uniquely equipped to optimize our central office operations and lead Vineland Public Schools to historic heights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate-movers-usa.com\/?p=570\">Pizza delivery man shot and killed overnight in North Philadelphia<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Lajara\u2019s departure marks the continuation of a period of change for the school system \u2014 it follows the recent exit that another assistant superintendent, Lajara\u2019s cousin Renato Lajara, is leaving Philadelphia to become Bethlehem\u2019s superintendent.
