Investigators wrote in court filings that Bailey demonstrated \u201ca blatant disregard for human life\u201d when she pointed a gun at Jeffers, thinking it was unloaded, and pulled the trigger.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>The firearm, a Glock 43x 9mm handgun, was not empty of bullets, and Jeffers was pronounced dead by medics who responded to Bailey\u2019s home on West Street after the shooting.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Bailey remained in custody Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bail. There was no indication she had hired an attorney.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>She was arrested alongside the gun\u2019s owner, Amaury Sahad, who has been charged with receiving stolen property and weapons offenses in connection with gun, which had been reported stolen in Philadelphia, according to the affidavit of probable cause for his arrest.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Sahad, 20, initially told police he had found the gun abandoned near a Sunoco gas station in Pottstown, the affidavit said. As Sahad\u2019s back was turned, he heard a gunshot and turned to see Jeffers lying unresponsive on a bed. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Bailey, he told police, said she \u201cdidn\u2019t mean to do it,\u201d according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>In a later interview, Bailey admitted to pulling the trigger, and said she had been handling the gun earlier that day.
