A 9-year-old girl was hospitalized in critical but stable condition after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, police said.
The girl was hit on Germantown Avenue not far from Erie Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m., police said.
She was transported by medics to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she was being treated for a broken foot, at least one broken rib, and skin abrasions, police said.

The striking vehicle was possibly a Toyota RAV4 with two flat tires, police said.
